4 Things To Pray Over Your Kids As They Head Back To School

Uncertain times has definitely been the theme of 2020.⠀

And with the start of school just around the corner - it just doesn’t look like the uncertainty is going away anytime soon.⠀
But that doesn’t need to rob you of your peace.⠀
I know there are important decisions in front of us. Do we send our kids to the classroom? Move to homeschool? ⠀
I don’t believe there is one right answer.⠀
Mama, take a deep breath. Get on your knees and ask for wisdom. Then trust your God given instinct on what’s best for you and your family.⠀
And in that, find peace. Because our kids? Our God’s children first and foremost. And this loving grace extends down on them and wraps them up. So trust his leading.⠀
For us, that means going into the classroom. Of a new school. And I have peace about that direction for Caleb. That doesn’t mean worry doesn’t try to sneak in - but I trust more than I fear.⠀

Yes, there is so much uncertainty in the air as this new year begins and covid lingers. Now, more than ever, is it so important to cover our kids in prayer.⠀

Children are an amazing gift from God, and praying over your kids is one of the most powerful things you can do as a parent (or grandparent, aunt, uncle ...).⠀

There is a battle for our families. The enemy is out there seeking whom he can devour. ⠀

But thankfully, there is no “junior” Holy Spirit. Our children have access to and protection by the same spirit that lives in you and me.⠀

So if you, or someone you know, have children heading back to the classroom, here are four key things to pray over them:⠀

1. Health & Safety “...that you may prosper and be in health ...” 3 John 1:2 and “the Lord will preserve your going out and your coming in ...” Psalms 121:8⠀

2. Godly Friendships “...he who walks with wise men will be wise...” Proverbs 13:20⠀

3. Wise Instruction...and all your children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of your children” Isaiah 54:13⠀

4. Peace...and the peace that passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus ..” Philippians 4:7⠀

Now, let's cast them forth like arrows with God confidence.
